This guy from another department at work and I have had a lot of phone contact lately due to new issues at work. We both work directly with these issues, just in different areas of them. So in the last month, we have spoken almost daily. While talking about the work issue, we make chit chat which turned into witty banter and flirting. Ou mutual friend attempted to set us up one night at a "group" outing. He didn't come and neither of us knew beforehand that it was suppose to be a set-up. After our friend told him it was, he asked her if I'm married. However, I have talked to him several times since and he hasn't asked me out. Any ideas on what is going on here? My dog has real bad fleas and i think he gets them from the back yard!!?

It's really hard to get fleas under control unless everyone around you does as well. One thing you can do is put your dog on the heartworm with flea control. You have to make sure you treat your home constantly for fleas as well by vacuuming daily especially where the dog sleeps. I flea comb my dog every day as well because she has a flea allergy and even one flea sends her into itching fits. OTC flea treatments don't usually work and some have actually been harmful to the dog. To much can also be bad so you have to really work at it when the fleas are at their worst. Last year we had a really bad problem with them and we had always been able to use rotations of frontline and advantage but it didn't work for more than a week. We used capstar and it killed them instantly and kept them off along with the other things we also did I mentioned above. Also watch for tapeworms when fleas are at their worst. In warmers areas it can be a constant battle so work with your vet on how to best handle them and what treatments to use that are safest to your dog.

How can I burn more calories?

I am a college student (sopre, age 18) and although I walk to cl each day and walk around between cles, it's not enough exercise to burn off the calories I eat. I've restricted myself to eating only when I'm hungry, and choosing healthier items (veggie cup not chocolate, etc), but it's still not enough; clearly I need to up my exercise as well. However, I live off-campus, in a crappy community -- I literally cannot get up and take a walk in the middle of doing homework because I and my boyfriend are afraid of getting mugged by the various "characters" nearby. The apartment is minuscule, and I am poor; I cannot afford a treadmill to make a "walking desk" or any such thing. I don't drink or do any drugs; I just come home and sit and do homework with my BF. I'm at a loss for how to fix my overweight body, help :(

The only note I have (and I don't know if you left this out on purpose) is that there are a few commas, semi-colons and perhaps a colon or two that are dying to get into those two paragraphs. Charles inson was famous for his paragraph-sentences, but the appropriate punctuation was always a nice helper to the reader. That's my only suggestion, otherwise it was marvelous!

Medical question..Please help?

I had a full tear in my right Rotator Cuff. I had surgery to repair it in April 2009. I am still having allot of pain from it. It seems to be getting worse all the time. Is this normal? I don't do much as I am disabled, so my arm is not getting over used. I had regular surgery, not laser surgery. How long is the normal healing time and should I still be having pain? Is there something wrong with my Rotator Cuff again? I would think after almost 2 years my shoulder would be healed all the way and pain gone or at least very minimal. I mentioned this to the Dr. several times, but he said it is normal. I am wondering if it really is normal to still be in pain and it getting worse. Why have surgery if it isn't going to fix the problem? Please help. I have severe Tendinitis in my left shoulder and Spinal Stenosis, along with Degenerative Disc Disease. How long can guppies survive without air pump, filter, and light?

My power's been out for close to 30 hours now, and i'm staying at a friend's house. I have a 29 gallon tank with about 40 guppies in it (we're getting a new tank next week.) We called PSE&G and they said our power won't be back on until probably tuesday because we aren't a "priority area". bullcrap. will they survive? what else can i do?

I have noticed that high school guys seem to be afraid or somewhat intimidated by voluptuous women. My front driver side wheel grinds into the break caliber ?

When in reverse my wheel rolls backwards but for some reason my rotor/axel ??? doesnt move thus the inside of the wheel grinds against my break caliber. My car is a 95 GSX eclipse and is AWD which is most liely why one wheel is messed up and not the other. Why would my gf secretly call her ex husband from a private number?

My girlfriend called me accidentally the other night with her phone set to private, she lied and said she mistakenly set it to that, but I didn't buy it and eventually she said she was thinking to call her ex husband whom she has been divorced for over a year and a half from. We were on a break and started talking again about a week after the # change, and she lied at first as to why she changed it, then lied again, then told me that she called her ex while we were on a break, then changed her # so he wouldn't have it. The thing I noticed about her messages when I looked at them is they are very consistent but there is an 18 day gap between messages in January and I'm wondering if she deleted any incriminating stuff? I'm not quite sure what you're asking, especially after reading the answers. But I will tell you that I grew up never wanting to have kids. I got pregnant at 19 and that baby was adopted. I later married someone else who also did not want kids. I found out that I was pregnant (I had an IUD for over five years, so it's not like we were being careless) and we had a daughter. She ended up being the best thing that ever happened to me. We now have a son, too. So my point is that things change. Right or wrong, for good or bad, things change. People who have this "urge to procreate" are certainly not guaranteed to be cut out to be good parents. My hubby and I luckily are the opposites. We were happy to not procreate, but I'm actually impressed with how we're doing as parents. It's not easy. Maybe if there were some way to show the people with "the urge" what it's really like...

Alternative exercise recommendation while healing?

My dog wont stop drinking?

ok so i have a 10 week old bloodhound puppy. He is completely healthy, has been to the vet about a week ago and everything was fine....but he wont stop drinking water. i cant leave his water out because he will drink it all and more if i let him. if i turn the faucet on he will wake up from a dead sleep and beg for water. he has been doing this from day 1. we started watching how much water he drank because he will drink until he is so full he just waddles around. im not looking for people to tell me to take him to the vet, so if thats your only answer then find someone else to give stupid advice to. i know this and i have an appt. but in the meantime, my question is, does anyone else have or have had a healthy puppy who just has a water obsession. no kidney problems, no cushings, no diabetes, just cant be responsible with water? thanks so much!

My kids and I don't watch DragonTales, but one of the kids I watch does, and he asked me what was wrong with Ord. Why does my mcl still hurt alot when kicking the ball after 4 months?

Is there a color picker and identifier program?

Is there a program out there that allows the user to user a picker or in some way click onto a color in an image on a computer screen, and the program identifies the color and the different colors (by name) that would be needed to make that color...for instance, I would click onto a green image and the program would tell me I would need blue and yellow to make that color. I don't want to know the web identifiers or hex variables. Me, my wife and two small kids went to see an apartment and hopefully finalize our move across town. We seen the three bedroom place and really liked it. We tried to speak with the manager about this and get our deposit back and he said he cant we had a signed one year lease to which we owe them fr reguardless fo the misunderstanding. plus he said we owe them a penalty year for leaving early so they have time to find someone.. we cannot afford to pay their rent and rent for another apartment. Can this be a legal lease agreement or under my cirstances do they legally have to let me and my wife out of the agreement. They say we owe them two years of rent on a one year lease.

From a Catholic perspective, you mean? No, they should not. As long as being "fully aware of their commitment to celibacy" means that they fully intend to STAY celibate, then I don't believe that their ual orientation should matter. Naturally, you'll get people claiming that s are all child abusers and this is why there is 'so much' pedophilia amongst the clergy, etc., etc. MY major concern (if I were Catholic, which I'm not) would be how they would react to gay parishioners. If they intended to counsel gay Catholics who came to them that ual activity (rather than just orientation) was not a sin, then I would have a bigger problem with it (again, if I were a Catholic, which I'm not). I *think* the current Catholic Catechism would back me up, but I don't have any references for you, sorry.

i like the honey shrimp the best. the wanton soup is good, but is enough for 2 adults (in my case, 2 adults and a toddler). i liked the spare rib appetizer a lot. the green bean appetizer is great, but again, it is a large portion. if you get a drink, try the mai tai. i always wanted to try the chicken wraps, but when we last went i was pregnant and the menu described them as spicy, so i stayed away from them (heartburn!). have fun. its always a good time there!

How can i get rid of acne scars?

i've recently been on accutane so my skin's completely cleared and my derm told me that most of the scars are probably from redness from the drug and will go away but they're still there. it's been almost a month. i'm not talking about the ones that are just marks in the skin that i'll have to get rid of with laser treatment probably but i've got red acne marks. is there any way to get rid of these without laser treatment. i heard exfoliating might work. does it? are there any other ways? thx in advance if someone can help me

I can hear voices...how do i face them?

I'm not going into details, but all im ganna say, i aint crazy, i have the ability to communicate with spirits, I'm pretty sure. to give you proof, iv heard a woman's scream high pitch in my flippin ears in the shower, "hello?", "are you there?", a deep mans voice when i woke up one morning (i didn't dream of go back to sleep), and about a month ago i heard a hissing noise (a cat hiss, or hand brushing fabric, which when i was in bed) these experiences were weeks and years apart, but at least 2 different times every 3 years. when i was little, i use to also be able to hear this soothing calming voice, which when i was little i didn't actually notice it until i actually thought about it. and to also proof it wasn't my head, i always heard the voices directly inside my hears, like a loud headphone speaker. and now that you know what I've heard in my past, to go back to my question, i need help, before in my life, this, i know, will get worse and iv become a paranoid wreck from this! what do they want from me? do i have comforting energy that draws them towards me? do they want my help? and another thing that connects to my main question, and to people that are christian and read the bible, ever since i was in 3rd grade, i can only remember this verse, never have i remembered any others, and it says "Do not fret, for it will only lead to evil" i think its for a reason...and the thing is...fear is what seems to let them talk to me. and i am very frightful of this, and its getting worse, and that's why I'm asking you people if you know how i can learn to live with this "gift" of mine(for all i know I'm probably stuck with it), and because i think if i keep living in fear of these voices, my life will be screwy. how do i learn to not fear towards them? thanks :]

Is it ok to use Demerol along with a fentanyl patch ?

I have SLE (Systemic Lupus Erythematosus) and am currently in the middle of a bad flare-up. I'm usually given 100 mg. Demerol (Intramuscular injection) for joint pain. My rheumatologist recently put me on DUROGESIC fentanyl patch (50 mcg). I'm now on the 2nd day since application of the patch. So far, the pain has not decreased though. My doctor said that some people require additional medication until the fentanyl enters the bloodstream. Is it safe to take Demerol as well with the patch ?

This is going to sound weird, but the book that has inspired me most is a crime thriller by Simon Kernick called A Good Day to Die. Although by no means a clic, it's a great story. Civ 4 shuts down on vista?

I have windows vista home edition and everytime I start up Civ 4 it plays it normally. After about 5 to ten minutes it shuts down. It doesn't give a warning. The computer simply shuts down. When I restart it doesn't give an error log or even notice that it shut down improperly. The strange thing is that this happens with other games like men of honor but not with empire total war. The computer is not overheating.
