In contrast, my cousin constantly talks to me about losing weight. She wants to exercise and become fit in order to gain self-confidence. Even though she wants to get skinnier, she always has a million excuses for not trying. For example, my cousin will say that dieting is either too hard or healthy food tastes unappealing. My mom once said, “Lazy people make excuses.” I think this applies to my cousin because she repeatedly insists that she will begin exercising and dieting, but she will never actually start. As a result, she will not achieve her goals due to making excuses and being lazy.
