What are the tourist attractions in Eastbourne, UK that I can visit?

I am planning to visit Hastings for a day trip, what ideas could people provide me when I arrive at the area? This would include museums, galleries, attractions and so on, especially those which are near the seafront/bandstand (no comments about how tacky the area is please!).
