In the ITV adaptation of Goodnight Mr Tom, starring John Thaw, in which real life village was it filmed?

The fictional name of this village was Little Weirwood, but I am wondering where it was really filmed. It is a stunningly beautiful English village, and it looks familiar to me, but I cannot place it exactly.
