What one season from before you were a fan (or born) would you like to have lived through?
1908 -- both leagues had three-team pennant races that came down to the last day, and the NL race was decided by a replay of a game that had previously ended on a questionable umpire's call. On top of that, a World Series between the Tinker-Evers-Chance Cubs (their last World Championship) and a Ty-Cobb-led Tigers team. Numerous great books have been written about the '08 races (most notably "The Greatest Season" and "More than Merkle"). If the 1908 season happened today, ESPN would probably explode from having to cover all the angles.
