Which book has inspired you the most?

This is going to sound weird, but the book that has inspired me most is a crime thriller by Simon Kernick called A Good Day to Die. Although by no means a clic, it's a great story. More importantly, it convinced me there was a market for the kind of crime fiction I wanted to write and gave me the confidence to present my work to a publisher.
