Question about DragonTales?

My kids and I don't watch DragonTales, but one of the kids I watch does, and he asked me what was wrong with Ord. I watched the show once to find out what he meant, and I really didn't see anything "wrong" with him, but was wondering if anyone knew if maybe he was meant to be delayed or something. He did seem to be a little immature, and slow to try things. Anyone else notice this?
